The City of Independence will hold its Installation Ceremony to swear in the newly elected Mayor and City Councilmembers on April 20 during the regular City Council Meeting at the Midwest Genealogy Center.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m., with the Installation Ceremony taking place during the agenda following old business and before new business items.
A public reception with light refreshments will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the community.
Residents are invited to attend in person or watch the meeting and ceremony live on the City's YouTube Channel.
