Did you know dragonflies in Missouri can eat hundreds of mosquitos each day? We want to celebrate this remarkable insect at the George Owens Nature Park.
Join us for a family-friendly event to learn how to catch and identify the 65 different species of dragonflies found in Missouri. Please bring a refillable water bottle and hat; sunscreen, net, and insect repellent are strongly recommended. If you do not have a net, don't worry, we have plenty to share.
This event is free, thanks to the Parks Improvement Sales Tax. It is excellent for all ages, especially kids ages 5-teenager.
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Address: George Owens Nature Park, 1601 S. Speck Road, Independence, MO
