Fire Station #5

Fire Station 5, built in 1980, will begin construction in the Fall of 2026. Station 5 will be completely rebuilt in its current location and will provide much-needed resources and amenities for our first responders, as well as design elements that will reduce response times for the area.

Fire Station #8

Fire Station 8, built in 1964, will begin construction in the Spring of 2026. Station 8 and a newly constructed adjacent storage and training facility will serve as a critical hub for firefighter education and emergency response in the northern part of the city.

Fire Station #11

Station 11 will be a brand-new station built near Centerpoint Medical Center, designed to better serve the city's emergency response and personnel needs.

As part of a comprehensive citywide plan to modernize fire stations, each new or renovated facility will include consistent core amenities to support firefighter health, safety, and readiness. These shared design elements ensure all crews, regardless of assigned station, have appropriate spaces to eat, rest, train, and decompress that support both physical and mental well-being.
