About the Budget

Each year, the City of Independence reviews our annual budget to ensure funding can support City operations and deliver the programs and services needed to maintain the quality of life we enjoy in our community.

Budgets are more than dollars and cents. They impact residents directly through the many City programs and services they receive. When your road is plowed, a child plays at a city park, or police answer an emergency call, you see your tax dollars at work.
