Community Health Assessment

The City of Independence Health Department (IHAS) conducts a Community Health Assessment (CHA) every three years to gain a better understanding of the community’s health, needs, and challenges. In the 2024-2027 CHA, you’ll find information about our city's top five public health concerns, demographics, communicable diseases, maternal & child health, environmental health risks, and much more. The CHA serves as a data resource and public health reference guide for city staff, community partners, and the public.
