Auditors: Positive Results on City Finances

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - An independent audit firm made two presentations in the past four months regarding the positive results of the fiscal year 2024 audit.  In it, its representative noted there were no findings of material weaknesses or fraud to report.

On Monday, April 28, an auditor with RubinBrown spoke with City officials and elected representatives during a Study Session.  His presentation begins roughly 20 minutes into the meeting.  He echoed his January presentation for the Audit and Finance Committee.  His presentation in January begins roughly 12 minutes into the meeting.

Also during the April 28 Study Session, more than an hour was devoted to multiple tax oversight citizen committees provided their semi-annual updates.
