Historic Independence Square 

Take a walk around the Square, and you'll instantly feel like you've entered a hometown straight out of the movies (hence why the Chiefs chose our town to film). From the Truman Courthouse in the center to the unique shops and restaurants, you'll find something interesting at every stop.

Courthouse Exchange 

Located at 113 W. Lexington, the Courthouse Exchange is a local favorite, serving delicious burgers with a downhome feel since 1899. Enjoy incredible food in a cozy atmosphere.

First United Methodist Church 

Located at 400 W. Maple Ave., this beautiful building is a short walk down the Square, next to the Truman Memorial Building, where you can visit the National Frontier Trails Museum.

Wild About Harry 

Located at 104 W. Maple Ave., Wild About Harry pays homage to President Harry Truman while offering one-of-a-kind goods made just for men.

Pharaoh Cinema 

Located at 114 W. Maple Ave., Pharaoh Cinema 4 is the place where movies come to life on the screens in Independence. Sit back and relax enjoying your favorite treats as you view the latest films.

Up Dog 

Located at 114 N. Liberty St, Up Dog serves the best dogs around! Enjoy the 1950s atmosphere while loading your dog with different combinations of toppings, making it uniquely yours. Sorry – No Mama Kelce working though!
