The following two issues will appear on the ballot for the August 6, 2024, Primary Election:
- The first is Proposition PD, a one-fourth of one-cent sales tax to fund the Independence Police Department.
- The second is five separate questions, each of which changes multiple provisions of the Independence City Charter.
Election Information
The polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 pm on Election Day.
Absentee voting begins on June 25th and is held at the Jackson County Election Board Absentee Office located at 110 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050.
