Funding assistance for first-time home buyers is currently available through the Missouri Housing Development Commission's First Place Home Program for income qualified buyers. Visit the MHDC website for addtional information. (Funding is not provided directly by the City of Independence, Mo)

For subordination or release of grants that have met the required period of affordability, please contact 816-325-7398 to obtain a Deed of Release. You must record this document at the Jackson County Recorder of Deeds. Jackson County fees will apply.
