Surrender a Pet

Many shelters, including our own, are at-capacity and have an extensive wait list for owner surrenders. We accept owner-surrendered animals by application only. This allows us to ensure adequate cage space for your pet as well as those already in our care. It is important to us to make sure each animal has adequate space and resources to ensure quality care during their stay and to help them find a new family as quickly as possible. We understand that a long wait list is not accommodating for most people and situations, so we want to share a few resources that might be able to assist.

Many people are looking to re-home their pets due to the cost of care. We have a list of a few resources that may be able to alleviate the burden and a pet food pantry on-site.

We understand that making the decision to re-home your pet can be difficult. In most cases, it is best to re-home your pet directly to a new home without them having to come into a shelter. This allows you to play a part in choosing a new family, saves space in the shelter for pets at risk, and ensures your pet won't have to spend time in a stressful shelter environment.
